Thanks to a new state law, most Texans can now add another item to their shopping list "ELECTRICITY" In a competitive
market place, customers may choose to use a buying agent known as an Aggregator, who knows the electric market, and
can help find the best deal available from (REP's) Retail Electric Providers.
You may opt to use an Aggregator, who represents a group of customers, such as neighborhood associations, faith-based
organizations or employees. An Aggretator conducts research on electricity prices, contracts terms and conditions, and other
services that there customers want, and negotiates group rates with the (REP) Retail Electric Provider.
An Aggregator joins two or more customers into a single purchasing unit to negotiate the purchase of electricity
from the (REP) Retail Electric Provider. Aggregators shop for there customers and often help them save time, effort
and money.
It is possible for aggregators to use the "power of numbers" and secure a better deal for many business and household
than any one customer could obtain on there own.
Consumers who consider joining a group formed by an aggrregator, should be sure, the aggregator is
registered with the (PUC) Public Utility Commission of Texas.
